What is GAIN?

G.A.I.N. is our Women's Small Group Discipleship program.

Our goal is to...

G: Grow in the word of Christ.

A: Acquire knowledge. A strong Christian is a knowledgeable Christian. Knowledge helps better serve our church, family, and friends.

I: Insight. Gain insight from reading and studying the word of God.

N: Need God’s word. As you develop a habit, you will learn to need God’s word. You will look forward to Bible study and what he has in store for you.

How can I join?

New G.A.I.N. groups form in September and sometimes January, depending on interest. If you are interested in joining our G.A.I.N. program, please keep an eye out for announcements on sign-up information.

When a new group begins, group members will read/study "Better Together". Better Together is a discipleship resource intended to be used as a tool to help establish and guide a discipleship relationship in the context of a small group. It will guide you through the discipleship relationship and provide material for you to walk through together as you pursue spiritual maturity. This resource includes sections on how to study the Bible, how to memorize scripture, how to cultivate a life of prayer, and more. The goal of discipleship is ultimately that Christians would utilize these types of relationships to flourish in the faith, to love God more, and in turn seek to glorify Him with their lives.

What does a G.A.I.N. Group meeting look like?

  • A group of 4-8 ladies meet together at a specified time & place decided on by group members. G.A.I.N. meetings are weekly or bi-weekly and are an hour and a half long.
  • A meeting consists of a time of answering accountability questions, prayer and discussion on what we learned in our homework.

What does the homework look like?

  • -Read assigned pages in Better Together (and the Scripture it asks you to read).
  • -Pray before opening the Word
  • -Pray for group members
  • -Practice scripture memory (there will be a whole section on how to do this as we study the book together)
  • -Be an encouragement to one another (calling, texting, emailing, or visiting one another) between meetings
  • -Share with your family/friends what you are learning about during this study
